Youngsters were transported back to electronics-free 18th century Fairfield at a history camp this week at the Ogden House on Bronson Road.
In the program, sponsored by the Fairfield Museum and History Center, participants learned about crafting candles, writing with feather pen and ink, and making butter and ice cream.
The historic farmhouse, which dates to 1750, proved a surprisingly effective time-traveling machine for its 21st-century passengers.
