A 16-year-old Fairfield girl was charged early Friday morning when police said she kicked an officer investigating a car break-in on Eleanor Terrace.
A resident called police around 2 a.m. Friday because her car alarm had been triggered. The car's door was open and the contents had been ransacked, though nothing appeared to be missing, according to the report.
Officers questioned the teen, who was found walking in the neighborhood, with two cell phones in her possession. They said she was uncooperative during questioning and, at one point, kicked the officer.
However, there was no evidence that the teen was responsible for the car break-in, but she was charged with kicking the officer and released to her mother's custody.
