The downtown Fairfield University Bookstore has issued a call to artists for entries in a juried art show marking the town's 375th anniversary.
The show, "Fairfield Pride 375," is scheduled for December and entries must represent the town of Fairfield. Categories include painting, drawing and photography, the bookstore said.
The show is open to professionals, serious amateurs and students. Deadline for entries is Friday, Aug. 1.
Artwork will be displayed in the 1499 Post Road store from December 1 through Jan. 9, and a reception for winners is planned Dec. 5, the bookstore said in a news release.
Artists may choose to offer their art for sale, Ten percent of all sales will be donated to Habitat for Humanity, the nonprofit that builds affordable housing for needy families.
There is no entry fee, and artists may enter up to three images, according to the release.
To enter, email images with a note listing size, medium, artist's name and email address to: FairfieldUBookstoreEvents@gmail.com.
For the show, work must be framed and ready to hang, the bookstore said.
Winners will be notified by email on Sept. 5.
