COPS BRING TOYS FOR SICK KIDS A contingent of Fairfield police officers on Dec. 20 delivered several dozen toys and games to Bridgeport Hospital for use by young patients. The Fairfield police toy drive was to supplment the hospital's Dr. Rom Kennedy Toy Closet. In the foreground are hospital-child life therapists Amy Huff, left, and Samantha Regina. Behind them are, from left, truck driver Steven Horvath, Police Sgt. Bob Kalamaras, Officers Evan Kaesmann and Jeff Wickman, and Bridgeport Hospital Auxiliary volunteers Pinal Kothari and Nicole Chiravuri, both from Fairfield.

The annual Fairfield Police Toy Drive netted several dozen toys and games that officers delivered to the Bridgeport Hospital pediatrics unit Friday.

The hospital said the donations, collected by police from the Fairfield community, would be added to the unit's Dr. Tom Kennedy Toy Closet.

Young patients will be able to play with the toys throughout the year, the hospital said.
