Fairfielder's fairy tale picked for anthology

Fairfield Author Edward Ahearn's fairytale "The Good Fairy" is included in a new anthology of tales by 18 writers from around the globe. He also writes horror stories. Fairfield CT. August 2014.

A story by Fairfield author Edward Ahearn is included in an anthology of 18 fairy tales produced by a British publisher and released this month.

Ahearn's "The Good Fairy" was selected for the collection "Thrice Upon A Time," published by Alfie Dog Fiction. It became available in paperback and for download on Aug. 21, the publisher said.

The anthology includes tales by authors from around the globe, Alfie Dog said in a news release.

Ahearn is a retired paper company executive and one-time government intelligence officer who has lived in Fairfield for 35 years. He has published 46 stories and a novella, according to the release.

In his profile at the literary newsletter Poets&Writers, Ahearn said, "I normally write sardonic to dark fantasy and horror stories, but do stray into children's fairy tales."
