Photos by Rosemary DeLucco Alpert are paired with art quilts ìAsian Lilyî by Martha Wolfe and ìIrisî by Ruth Anne Olson in the fiber art and photography exhbit "Double Take," at the Bruce Kershner Gallery at the Fairfield Public Library.

An art show featuring fiber art and photography will be on exhibit at the Bruce S. Kershner Gallery at the Fairfield Public Library from Jan. 5 to Feb. 23.

The exhibit, "Double Take," shows works from Sisters in Cloth, a group of fiber artists from the Connecticut Shoreline. Each fiber artist selected one of the photos of Rosemary DeLucco Alpert to interpret in fiber. The artists were attracted to either the overall photo image, the composition, the color, or the texture. Both the photographs and the resulting art interpretations are on display.

A reception will be held on Saturday, Jan. 11, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. with a talk by the artists at 5:30 p.m. The group, which started in 2000 in Guilford, has exhibited together as an art quilt group since 2004 in a variety of venues.
