Things were hopping Saturday morning as, under bright spring skies, hungry families converged on Fairfield Grace United Methodist Church for the annual Easter Bunny Pancake Breakfast.
The fundraiser featured hearty breakfast fare, including pancakes, eggs, sausage, juice and coffee at tables topped with festive Easter decorations.
Teens wearing bunny ears took breakfast orders and served the meals, prepared by volunteers.
Children joined craft activities and had their faces painted with seasonal themes. The church's Boy Scout Troop 88 supported fundraising efforts, offering square foot garden grids for spring planting.
The star of the event was a certain celebrated bunny who passed out treats and welcomed children for a visit in a rocking chair at the head of the room.
Event Coordinator Nancy Hauser said "free will" donations would go to Heifer International, which assists farmers in need across the world by purchasing livestock to better their lives and feed their families. The effort is one of the many mission projects Fairfield Grace church undertakes throughout the year.
