Purdie was charged with second-degree breach of peace.
Police got a call around 10:30 a.m. Friday about the fight, but when they arrived, Purdie had already left the scene. His girlfriend told them they had been arguing over whether she had been cheating on him, and there was pushing and shoving involved, according to the report.
Purdie was stopped by Bridgeport police and taken into custody. He was released on a promise to have appeared Monday in Bridgeport Superior Court regarding the Fairfield charges, and turned back over to Bridgeport, which had an outstanding warrant for Purdie's arrest.
