Mark Capozziello, 58, of Bridgeport, was charged Sunday with disorderly conduct and third-degree assault.
Capozziello, who lives on East Main Street, came to a relative's home on Campfield Drive and, according to police, was trying to convince an elderly family member into giving him money. When another relative tried to intervene, Capozziello allegedly grabbed her by the arms and pushed her against the wall, police said. The victim recently had surgery, and the push injured her neck, according to the report.
Capozziello was found at his Bridgeport address and taken into custody, and also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia when police said that he was found with a glass pipe.
He was held on a $5,000 bond and was scheduled to have appeared Monday in Bridgeport Superior Court. He also was warned not to return to the Campfield drive home.
