Two bands take the stage at the Fairfield Theatre Co. this week -- NRBQ performs Thursday and the Soul Rebels are in concert Friday.
Both shows are at 7:30 p.m. at FTC's StageOne, 70 Sanford St.
NRBQ delivers performances that mingle rock, rockabilly, blues, zydeco, country, British invasion, barrelhouse and jazz. The quartet includes Terry Adams on keyboards, Scott Ligon on guitar and vocals, Casey McDonough on bass and vocals and Joe Camarillo on drums. Their newest CD is "We Travel The Spaceways." Tickets are $35, with a member discount of $3.
The Soul Rebels, a seven-piece ensemble, are multi-instrumentalists who blend the sounds of funk, rock and reggae into a New Orleans sound. The group's 2013 mix tape "Power = Power" features studio, live and remixed versions of original material. Tickets are $28, with a member discount of $3.
