Representative Town Meeting members from Districts 4, 5, 6 and 7 will have an open house for constituents on Saturday, April 26, at McKinley School.
The event is planned from 9 to 11 a.m. in the library of the 60 Thompson St. school and is open to all residents of the four districts.
Residents may share their views on the proposed town budget and any other townwide or district issues, the representatives said in a news release.
If residents are unsure whether they live in one of the four districts, their voting locations are Osborn Hill School, McKinley School, Fairfield Warde High School and North Stratfield School.
The RTM will vote May 5 on a $286 million budget approved by the Board of Finance to fund the town and schools in fiscal 2014-15.
The proposal is 2.7 percent more than the current budget and would result in a projected 2.4 percent increases in property taxes, according to the release.
The April 26 meeting will provide residents an informal opportunity to meet their representatives and talk about their concerns, the representatives said.
Coffee and doughnuts will be served, and residents may stop in at any time between 9 and 11 a.m.
The RTM members said constituents also may email or phone them.
Contact information is on the town website, www.fairfieldct.org.
At the open house, RTM members will accept donations of nonperishable food items for the townwide food drive being conducted as part of Fairfield's 375th anniversary celebration.
