A career counselor from the state Department of Labor will outline ways to improve resumes at a free workshop Monday, March 10 at the Fairfield Public Library.
The program will take place at 10 a.m. in the Rotary Room of the main branch, 1080 Old Post Road, and is part of the library's Jobs series.
The library said the modern resume has evolved through the use of social media, and the workshop will focus on sharpening one with a strong profile, keywords and accomplishments.
The library requested participants register in advance.
Programs in the award-winning Jobs series for job seekers are supplemented by a LinkedIn networking group, one-on-one career counseling sessions, a job-search "boot camp," podcast recordings of more than 100 past presentations and an updated collection of job-hunting books, the library said.
