The Fairfield Senior Center will offer a five-session, introductory course in ballroom dancing that will meet on Wednesday evenings beginning later this month.
Classes will meet from 5 to 6 p.m. beginning April 30 in the gym of the senior center, 100 Mona Terrace. The class has a limited number of openings, the center said, and advance reservations are required.
Classes will include swing, the foxtrot, waltz and cha-cha, the center said, and will be taught by Sandra Adamczyk, a former instructor with the Arthur Murray Dance Centers.
Emphasis will be on fun, variety, technique and footwork, the center said. The class is limited to 10 couples, but single people also may register, and partners would be rotated, the center said.
The fee for the five-class series is $100, payable to Adamczyk.
