Ryan Zsebik, 18, of Rosedale Street, was issued summonses for traveling too fast for conditions and evading responsibility after a one-car accident early Friday.
When officers arrived at the Jennings Road accident scene just after 1 a.m., they found a car that had hit a tree and utility pole. The driver was not around, according to the report. A short time later, the car's owner -- Zsebik's mother -- arrived at the scene. She said her son, who was now home, had been driving the car.
According to the report, he said he was speeding on Holland Hill and lost control when he tried to make a left turn. He said he left the scene because he was worried because he was driving over the speed limit, police said.
