FAIRFIELD — Three teenagers, found with a very large rock in their car and some stolen street signs, were charged with second-degree criminal mischief early Saturday morning, July 29.
An officer pulled over the car on Birch Road after it didn’t stop for a stop sign. In the car, there were street signs from Lally Boulevard and Quincy and Fox streets. According to police, the three would throw the large rock at the signs to knock them down.
One of the teens was a 17-year-old from Trumbull. The other two, one 17 and the other 14, were from Fairfield.
All three were turned over to the their parents and are scheduled to appear in juvenile court Aug. 7.
