A 40-year-old motorist was arrested Sunday morning on drug charges after she allegedly drove into a parked car on the Post Road.
Zona Green, of Iranistan Avenue, Bridgeport, was charged with operating under the influence, four counts of possession of narcotics, two counts of possession of a controlled substance, one count of illegal storage of narcotics and operating without a license. There also was an outstanding warrant for her arrest on a charge of second-degree failure to appear in court. She was held in lieu of a total $5,000 bond and was scheduled to appear July 29 in Bridgeport Superior Court.
Green struck a car parked in a parking lot outside the Sherwin Williams paint store at 695 Post Road, police said, and that the car's owner, upon hearing her car had been struck, called police about 10:21 a.m.
Police said officers found a variety of pills in Green's purse and that she failed field sobriety tests. Neither car had significant damage, according to the report.
