Irene M. (Gopsill) Iwanicki and Raymond R. Iwanicki marked their 60th wedding anniversary on Sept. 26 and celebrated with jubilee services at two churches.
The couple was married Sept. 26, 1953, in St. Thomas Church in Fairfield. The anniversary was celebrated at a Mass in the same church on Sept. 29, and again on Oct. 20 at St. Theresa Church in Trumbull, where the couple renewed their vows.
They were honored at an anniversary party in Fairfield Sept. 29.
Raymond Iwanicki retired from Nabisco as a sales representative. His wife is a retired secretary, having worked for DuPont and Glenmary Missioners.
The couple has three daughters and two sons-in-law: Pat Kearns, of Fairfield; Barbara and John Carissimi, of Milford; and Mary Beth and Steve Elgin, of Rochester, N.Y. They also have four grandchildren.
