More than 30 tasty clam chowder recipes were served up Sunday at the sixth annual Chowdafest, held at the Webster Bank Arena in Bridgeport.
The competing chefs were all Connecticut locals and the more than 5,000 people in attendance were given ballots and served as judges.
Donovan's from Norwalk won best classic New England Chowder, Dunville from Westport won best traditional chowder and the Brewhouse won most creative chowder. The festival benefited the CT Food Drive.
The event wasn't only about chowder. Also on the menu were craft beers, wine, ice cream and even an Italian section, "Ciao"dafest.
