SKINNY: The winner of today’s game will punch its ticket into Saturday’s championship game (1 p.m., ESPN) and move within a game of heading to Williamsport, Pa., and the Little League World Series. Fairfield American has a choice of three pitchers — Michael Iannazzo, Tyler Bauer or Matt Vivona — to go against New Hampshire, with Iannazzo being the likely candidate. In its shutout win over Maine Monday, Vivona went 3 for 4 with two home runs and a triple, scoring three times and driving in three runs. Owen Kalagher and Troy Ashkinos added two hits each and Kalagher had two RBI. In its 16 tournament games, Fairfield has hit 55 home runs (Iannazzo, 13, Vivona 10) and is averaging 11.3 runs a game.
