Tonight’s Derby Green concert postponed

DERBY- Tonight’s scheduled summer concert on the Green featuring Irish music from the Jolly Beggars has been postponed because of the forecasted thunderstorms.

The concert will take place on Wednesday August 14, 2019 at 7:00 p.m.

The following schedule shows the remaining Derby Summer Concerts on the Green.

Shameless, a rock and roll band, will perform on Aug. 20.

I’Liguri, which performs traditional Italian music, will perform Aug. 27.

The Rich Bobinski Orchestra will play Polka music on Sept. 3.

All of the concerts are free and begin at 7 p.m.

In Ansonia the remaining free concerts at Veteran’s Park next to City Hall are Fools on the Hill who perform Beatles Music on Aug. 14 while Mark Lanzieri will sing his favorite Rat Pack songs from Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin on Aug. 21.

The free concerts begin at 7 p.m.

Rock the Valley will take place on Aug. 24 from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Nolan Field. It features Draw The Line, an Aerosmith Tribute band; State Sen. George Logan’s Electric Lady Band, which pays tribute to Jimi Hendrix, Ripchord, whose band members are veterans of the Connecticut 102nd Army National Guard and XYZ Revisted. The show will end with fireworks.

Admission to Rock the Valley is $3 but entrance is free to children under 12 years old.
