WESTPORT — A Fairfield woman was arrested following a car crash on Post Road West, police said.
Around 3:30 a.m. March, 4, officers were dispatched to Post Road West on a report of a motor vehicle accident and determined the vehicle traveled westbound on the Post Road before crossing two eastbound lanes and striking a stone wall, police said.
Officers detected an odor of alcoholic beverage on the the breath of the operator, Emily Bodnar, 21, and asked her to perform standardized field sobriety tests, which she failed, police said.
Bodnar was taken into custody and brought to headquarters where she was administered a breath test that found Bodner to be over the legal limit, police said.
She was charged with operating under the influence of drugs/alcohol and failure to drive in the proper lane and released on a promise to appear in Norwalk Court March 3.
