FAIRFIELD — A man who police said was at one point driving the wrong way on Kings Highway Cutoff was arrested Saturday night for driving under the influence.
Ralph Davis, 49, of Walnut Street, Seymour, was also charged with reckless driving.
A witness called police to report Davis’ driving and followed him into the parking lot at Whole Foods. Davis told police he was headed to Seymour from Stratford when he got lost. There were several empty beer bottles in the car and an odor of alcohol on his breath, police said.
Davis failed field sobriety tests and was released after posting a $100 bond. He is scheduled to appear in state Superior Court March 5.
